That's exactly what we're doing as a family right now.

In today's video I'm giving you a first hand look at the lake, the property and the layout for our off the grid cabin.





What Did We Get Into



A few months back we decided that we needed to unplug from the hustle and bustle of daily life here in the city. We've been on a grand total of ONE family vacation in the past 10 years since or daughter was born and honestly... they deserve better. I've been deployed for the majority of those 10 years but really... that's NOT an excuse.



My wife and I both have government jobs, although I'm home fighting thyroid cancer right now, our daughter is 10 years old going on 11 (wow) and we both have our own home businesses. Along with trying to maintain and pay for a brand new 3600 square foot home, we've created quite a busy lifestyle that would otherwise drive most people crazy.



We reached the point where we simply HAD to unplug. Here's how we're doing it.





The Property

As of today we've cleared out the entire area where we plan to build the cabin so I thought I'd give you a play-y-play of where the cabin wil be situated as well as the layout.

Well, we've completed burning all the brush from clearing the property where we're building our Off The Grid Solar Powered Cabin. What a feat that was.
